To confront the Village Board.
Trustee starts with the word "trust". Trust doesn’t come with a refill. Once it’s gone, you probably won’t get it back.
Some members of our board have betrayed our trust and they feel no shame. From the former village president finding his way to a high paying job he and his group cleared the way for, to the police department leadership that fabricates lie after lie. Larry Powell has refused to answer questions and will continue to do so knowing he can’t face the truth without embarrassment. It is time that we demand change. Larry Powell and his cronies should step down and Larry can take his loyal ladies with him on the way out. One of them doesn’t even pay taxes in our village but sits on our board making decisions on what WE pay taxes on???
The stonewalling may continue tonight. But we shall see if Kirchgatterer finds her lost integrity and starts doing her job for the people instead of her own personal interests.
The same questions remain, and the Powell clan is still silent.

It is rumored that the firehouse was empty for a shift or two? We do know that there have been many times the fire department was unable to serve the citizens of this village due to manpower shortages or the new ambulance being out of service. But a completely empty fire house??? Add that to the list.

I wonder how long the village president and board will hide in executive session at this board meeting until residents begin to leave again. And what will be the excuse this time on why they will not be taking or answering any questions from their residents
Chef and Dumpty Chef have a whole day to stand in the bathroom, in front of the mirror, practicing their lies for tomorrow night.
I know a lot of people feel uncomfortable asking questions in public for various reasons. I still have faith in our village and our elected officials ( for now ) but I really hope we have some things addressed at this board meeting. Like what is going on in the Police Department? And I hope trustees that actually still care about us the residents will ask Chief Heller directly on why he isn’t able to make sure our fire department is staffed, and why he feels so many of our firefighters don’t want to work for him. Through the years I have gotten to speak with number of our firefighters and they all seemed like hard working and dedicated individuals. If they don’t feel safe working for Mr Heller, maybe that should be a red flag and we need to find a new fire chief. I just don’t like knowing I may not have help coming because no one is at the firehouse.
This article may provide further explanation as to why a lot of fire departments are having staffing problems through out the US. Can anyone answer if our fire department is Paramedic? Just be careful what you ask Chief tugboat Tommy at the board meeting. He may ramble on making no sense for the rest of the night and will leave you with no answers just your head spinning. I hope something positive happens at the board meeting, because morale at the fire department is horrible. Guys hate working for tugboat Tommy and cringe when he waddles into the station. He is just so in over his head it isn’t funny. He is also so afraid to make any decisions because he knows himself how unqualified he is and he doesn’t hold the confidence to be a leader or make a decision. That is why he is always looking for someone else to hold his hand and make the decision. That way if something goes wrong he can point the finger and take no responsibility. He doesn’t want to make a decision because he is afraid of bringing attention to himself and people realizing what a joke he is and in a position he shouldn’t be holding. But like Chief tugboat has said around the firehouse kitchen table numerous times to the members ...... “ president Powell said I’m his choice for fire chief and I’ll be the fire chief for as long as he is the president regardless of what anyone thinks” ......... so with claims like that who knows if change is possible at funny view FD?????
Powell would call police on his neighbors across 46th street all the time when they had people over. He wanted them to get tickets for overnight parking.
Powell is the biggest hypocrite. He parks blocking the sidewalks, but then wants residents ticketed for the same thing.... but he never got tickets. hmmm interesting how that works. I guess when your the village president you can do whatever you want.
If you broke off a toothpick in the locks of 3 doors in the building, the whole town would come to a screeching halt. If Erica is working when it happens, no one will know until the next day.
